As we wrap up the final quarter of 2020, it's time to look at the performance of the top fitness and weight loss applications on the Android platform in Australia, based on data provided by Sensor Tower.

Fitness app Fitbit saw a significant increase in revenue, climbing from $13K in late September to a peak of $26K in the last week of December. Downloads spiked to 22K in the third week of December before settling at 9K. Weekly active users rose from 144K to 154K by year-end.

Garmin Connect™ experienced a notable surge in downloads, from 2K to 19K in the third week of December, and ended the year with 7.5K downloads. Weekly active users showed a positive trajectory, increasing from 254K to 298K in the same period.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter reported steady revenue throughout the quarter, with a slight uptick from $23K to $24K. Downloads saw a high of 5K in early October, dipping to 3K before jumping to 6K by the end of December. Weekly active users declined from 47K to 43K.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike showed a consistent revenue pattern, starting at $12K and peaking at $16K in the last week. Downloads peaked at 5K in the third week of October, with weekly active users increasing from 89K to 99K across the quarter.

AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run saw its revenue grow from a modest $2.5K to $3.6K by the end of December. The app's downloads dropped from 4.7K to 1.8K midway through the quarter, recovering to 2.8K. Weekly active users showed a slight increase from 25K to 22K.
